Can I change or cancel my order?

Once the order has been placed, we are unable to make any amendments or cancellations to the order.

Can I return a gift?

Yes you can return a gift if it falls within our return policy. All you need to do is go to our returns page to check our policy. In summary, proof of purchase will be required and it you have 14 days to exchange the gift.

What is your warranty policy?

There is a 1 year warranty on all jewellery purchased from us. This covers manufacturing defects, and we will replace or repair the pieces at no additional cost. Wear and tear is not covered in our warranty. However, we will replace thread on Thalia threaded range. Please contact us via email and instructions will be shared on a case by cases basis.

Can I return my engraved or made-to-order item?

Engraved items are not eligible for returns. Once our made-to-order pieces are in production they are non-refundable as we are unable to cancel the order.

What does gold filled mean?

Gold filled jewellery is a valuable alternative to solid gold. Gold filled jewellery is not to be confused with gold plated jewellery. It consists of a thicker layer of solid gold bonded to the base material. This layer of solid gold can have different karats. All our gold filled pieces are 3 microns making them durable, tarnish resistant and hypoallergenic.

What about the overall longevity? As long as gold filled pieces are well cared for they can last years. Our piece are stamped; this guarantees the purity and the minimum gold thickness that is used to plate gold filled jewellery.

What are the requirements?


By law, the total weight of a gold filled item must contain 5% (or 1/20) of gold. If it contains less than 5%, it cannot legally be called gold filled. For comparison, the total amount of gold a gold plated item usually has is under 0.05% of the overall weight of the product.

What does gold vermeil mean?

Vermeil is pronounced vehr-may; it's French! which is a legally regulated term that refers to a high quality kind of gold-plated jewellery. The benefits of gold vermeil include its longevity, affordable price and high quality; it’s what we like to call affordable luxury and means you can wear your favourite piece on repeat.

What are the requirements of vermeil?

It must have sterling silver as its base material plated in a gold layer that is at least 10k gold, which means it contains at least 41.7% gold content.

The gold plating must be at least 2.5 microns (or 1/100th of a milli-meter) thick.

What does gold plated mean?

Our name necklaces are the only gold-plated pieces we sell. The 18K gold and white gold is around 0.5 microns plating over a base of sterling silver. Which is why we still regard these pieces as good quality.

Where should I keep my jewellery when it's not being worn?

Storing your jewellery pieces separately in soft pouches to prevent scratches, included in your order, and ideally in a dry and cool place away from direct sunlight.


Sterling silver oxidises when exposed to air, humidity, sweat or chemicals. We recommend storing sterling silver in a jewellery ziplock pouch if possible, all gold-plated and sterling silver jewellery are prone to tarnishing over time.

How do I care for solid gold jewellery?

Solid gold is durable, tarnish-resistant and great for those with sensitive skin. 


Gold pieces stand the test of time better than other metals, be mindful they still do darken over time with regular wear.

How do I care for gold filled and gold vermeil?

Caring for gold filled and gold vermeil jewellery is relatively easy. Gold filled and gold vermeil is long lasting and to help your jewellery last, gently wipe with the included polishing cloth. If you've been extra active that day or your jewellery might have product on it, it would be ideal to give it a quick rinse in lukewarm water, dry it well and polish with a soft cloth.

TIP: Put your jewellery on last and take it off first!

How do I care for gold plated?

Plated jewellery has a thin layer of precious metal over a base material (sterling silver, brass or stainless steel etc.). We recommend exposing the jewellery to water, soap, perfume, lotion and other chemicals. If the jewellery does get wet, wipe it with a soft cloth.

Remove the plated jewellery before you sleep to reduce contact with bare skin and before engaging in sports activities. It is best to store plated jewellery separate from other jewellery to avoid it getting scratched.

TIP: To prevent scratches, each piece should be stored individually in its own case or pouch.
